On the morning of June 28, SIG held a Party committee meeting to convey the spirit of the 12th CPC Shanghai Municipal Congress. Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, hosted the meeting. Present were members of SIG's leading body, as well as heads of SIG's departments and subsidiaries.

At the meeting, as a deputy to the 12th CPC Shanghai Municipal Congress, Liu Xinyi, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG, briefed the attendees on the congress, introduced the report: Promoting the Great Founding Spirit of the Party, Implementing the Philosophy of People's City, Accelerating the Building of a Globally Influential Socialist Modern International Metropolis delivered by Secretary Li Qiang on behalf of the 11th CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and interpreted the focuses of the report.

Guided by Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, the report adopted at the congress focuses on the requirements of the "four work bases", is based on the present situation, looks into the future, objectively reviews the work over the past five years, portrays a blueprint for the coming five years, and deploys Shanghai's tasks of economic and social development and Party building, said Liu. It is a practical guideline for us to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches during his visit to Shanghai, as well as a program of action for SIG's executives and staff to forge ahead in the period to come.

Yu required that we should take studying, publicizing and implementing the spirit of the 12th CPC Shanghai Municipal Congress as an important political task at present and in the next period. According to the unified arrangements and requirements of the CPC SIG Committee, SIG's Party organizations at all levels should quickly set off a fever of studying, publicizing and implementing the spirit of the congress. We should earnestly study and comprehend the great significance and contributions of the congress, as well as the new ideas, conclusions, requirements and tasks put forward at the congress, grasp the essence of the spirit and strive to digest it. Guided by the spirit, we should focus on serving the overall interests and opening up new prospects, fully reflect the spirit of the report in SIG's three-year action plan for strategic development, work out specific measures, deploy work, assume the mission and responsibility of state-owned enterprises, transform the practical results of studying, publicizing and implementing the spirit into the strong driver for development, reform and innovation, continue to forge towards our goal steadily, ensure that related work is implemented and substantial results are achieved, make new contributions to serving Shanghai's major strategies and meet the 20th CPC National Congress by action.
